Announce you are climbing Mt Killi and every one seems to know someone who has been there, is there or is just coming back. We should have said we were walking in Northumberland, no body's been there..
But for the first time I have actually met someone who has been up there.
I met two brothers yesterday at the Whizz Kidz Christmas do at the House of Lords. First people I have met who have climbed Killi. They have done it twice, the first time they didn't get to the top due to altitiude and weather.
They have just come back from a trek to Everest base camp, which they said was much easier than climbing Killi.
Apparently Killi is not only physically demanding its very tough mentally! Eeek
